ABOUT US

We are Mary and Perry Glenn, along with our daughter Sarah Ambrose, of Tall Timbers Labradoodles, a small-scale breeder of authentic, multi-generational Australian Labradoodles located at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains near Golden, Colorado.

We are empty-nest parents of five children and proud grandparents of twelve. Mary is a registered nurse with a focus on mother and baby care. Perry is a building official with a local municipality.

We have always had a dog (or three!) in our home - breeds ranging from beagles to Belgian malinois with some Rhodesian ridgebacks, terriers, heelers and a cocker spaniel thrown in for good measure.

When we discovered multi-generational Australian Labradoodles we realized that we had finally discovered the perfect family dog! Our dogs live with us on our small acreage or in guardian homes carefully selected by us.

We are delighted and excited to be able to offer labradoodle puppies with a strong focus on temperament and health to our friends and friends we haven’t met yet!

Australian Labradoodles

Labradoodles are traditionally understood to be a cross between a labrador retriever and a poodle, or sometimes a first generation labradoodle and a poodle. Using these dogs as a starting point in the 1980’s, breeders in Australia began the process of improving the breed, fine tuning by adding in spaniels and selectively breeding only those dogs with the best traits. Their goal was to create a dog that is allergy-friendly with a consistent soft coat that is low- to no-shed, an easy-going, friendly disposition, and without common inherited health conditions that adversely affect the wellbeing of dogs. Our breeding dogs are descended from these Australian lines.

Breeders across the world soon recognized the incredible potential of this new breed for service work, therapy, sporting and agility competition along with being a wonderful, allergy-friendly family companion.

Today’s Australian Labradoodles come in three sizes: mini (14-16”) medium (17-20”) and standard (21-24”) and a wide variety of coat colors.  At Tall Timbers Labradoodles, we specialize in medium and mini dogs. Our breeding program follows the rigorous standards of the Worldwide Australian Labradoodle Association (WALA). Our breeding dogs are evaluated for elbow and hip disorders, eye and heart disorders and genetic disorders common to the parent breeds. Only the best are chosen to produce the best quality puppies. We utilize the Puppy Culture program to increase resilience and sociability and all of our puppies are born and raised in our home. We provide education and support to our families for the life of the dog and all puppies come with a two-year health guarantee.

Here at Tall Timbers Labradoodles, we are committed to the continual improvement of the Australian Labradoodle breed and we look forward to having you join our family!
